Celebration #2

As of November 14, I had officially completed my hour requirement for my internship.  Because Nate is awesome, he wanted to celebrate this achievement, even though we already had a big party in June for my graduation.  Ever the secretive one, he asked me to meet him downtown at his office after work.  First we headed to the Bellagio's art museum, which currently has a Monet exhibit.  It was full of noisy, wine-filled guests, but it was fun to simultaneously enjoy the artwork and make fun of those around us.  :)
After, Nate led me through the Bellagio and up to Yellowtail, a restaurant Ruth's Matt has been recommending to us for two years.  Now I know why!  It was super fancy and I felt a little out of place (I managed to step on the foot of a tiny hostess), but it was delicious and fun.

This was the view from our table!

I mostly posted this in order to give me something to look back on whenever I'm tempted to say I "never do anything cool".  :)

Taking a (Cedar) Break

Guess what?  September was still too hot.  For a temporary fix, we headed to the Cedar City area and stayed in a condo up at Cedar Breaks.  Nothing recently has been so beautiful and frightening to me all at the same time.

Click on this and view full screen...so pretty!

We took a hike on Saturday that reminded us we shouldn't be involved in any sports at a high elevation any time soon...we couldn't breathe!

It looks like I'm in front of a picture or a green screen, right?  I'm not; I assure you, I was getting scared just looking down.

Cows + fall leaves=winning combination.

Our second attempt at a hike was colder and yes, more scary.  There was no railing or anything making me feel safe, so this hike was much, much shorter.  :)

I'm wearing two sweaters!  This was actually exciting to me because I hadn't felt cold in (what seemed like) a long time.  Scary though it was, I have a feeling we'll be back; Cedar Breaks is beautiful!

Thanksgiving twice

We weren't able to be with extended family exactly on Thanksgiving day, so we joined the Higleys the weekend before and had a lovely spread and fun time with them.

How could we not with these kids?

Ivie looking fashionable even on a sit-n-spin.

Same with Grey.  :)

A delicious pumpkin roll I received from a friend took the place of our pumpkin pie at home and completed a pretty impressive dinner feast.  Nate and I had a lazy day at home, went for a run, then ate whilst we watched a Thanksgiving episode of both Seinfeld and Frasier.  :)

Disneyliz + Harrisons

Jim and family came through Vegas to head to Disneyland...about a week or so before, I decided I'd be heading with them.  I was very much a 7th wheel, but I never felt like it, thanks to these six:

For some reason, Lizzie was convinced I was awesome to be with on rides...it's a good thing because I think Ethan was mourning Nate's absence.  :)

One of Lilly's many faces...you can almost see Lizzie's smile at her sister's discomfort.

After we ALL went on the Tower of Terror!

Lego store.

After "World of Color".

Sorry Jim.  It's never the things you expect will be fun memories of a trip.  I bought some industrial sunscreen for our whale watching trip and everyone ended up looking like this.  Or Data.

Making faces.

Dolphin!

Tower of Terror.  I love this picture and all who were on this ride with us.

Christmasified Princess Castle

A little tired...

Last but not least?  Me, Jim, and Ethan and I had so much fun...the picture was so awesome I was even conned into buying it.  But wouldn't you?

Halloween 2012

The Harrisons held our 3rd annual Halloween party and it was one of the best yet!  It was great to have everyone(!) there and dressed up, even Grandma and Grandpa...and Matt.  :)

Antony, Dennis, and Indy checking out the witches brew!

Liz Lemon (me) stealing a baby with a Ruth photo bomb.

And who wouldn't want to steal this little one?  Violet missed a true introduction, so here is the little bug.

Everyone couldn't get enough, including the big bad wolf (dad, Tom)

Antony and Cleopatra (Lish and Jim)

Fire marshal Bill (Braedan)

Liz and some princesses she met.  (Bella and Ruth)

Game time!

If we would've had a costume contest, Tom and Stacey would've won, paws down.

Jim "winning" at the cupcake walk.  The adults were the last to win...:(

Witch and Strawberry Shortcake in the headlights.

Uncle Nate, his gold chain, and Princess Shaelynn.

We were Dennis and Liz from 30 Rock, but not many got it.
What we were going for.  :)

Everyone!
We attended a friend Halloween party here at home and decided to up the anty with an oldie, but a goodie...we won their costume contest!  Here we are celebrating with two costumeless cats that won't be so lucky for Christmas time.  :)
